Dear Upper Valley Foodies:

This goodbye is long overdue.

I have several times now failed to meet my own development goals for the UVFood web site. It's not fair to the users and particularly not fair to the restaurants and farms in the Upper Valley who are represented on the site.

To be useful, UVFood needs to be more of a conversation and less of a monologue, and I just have not had the time and attention to revamp the site to make it more user-driven. I definitely have not had the time to keep it updated single-handedly.

To worsen matters, restrictions from Twitter on how content served by it may be used conflict with my vision of UVFood offering agregated news from local restaurants and farms, so I am unable to provide a good user experience and still comply with Twitter's terms of use.

It's possible that UVFood may return in a different form, but for now I am taking it entirely offline. Thanks so much for your support and interest. If you'd like to check out a much smaller, simpler project that I've been working on, please take a look at UVWeather.com (@uvweather on Twitter).
