About UVFood

UVFood.com ("Upper Valley Food") is owned and operated by Blue Forest Research, LLC, a New Hampshire Limited Liability Corporation.

We offer a database of food-related organizations in the New Hampshire/Vermont Connecticut River "Upper Valley" area. We encourage users to use UVFood.com to review and rate these organizations, and we offer features to help make it easy to keep track of where your friends are eating and to blog about it.

The primary software for the site was written by John Romkey. John has worked with the Internet since 1981 and has several years of restaurant experience working with Tea-Tray in the Sky and Elements restaurant in Arlington, MA. Neither John nor Blue Forest Research has any financial interest in any restaurant or food industry organization at this time.

The current appearance of the site was designed by Ryan Freebern and applied by John, so give Ryan credit for the good parts and blame John for the places where it doesn't look quite right.

The site written in Perl and relies on the Catalyst Framework and HTML::Mason. The backing database is MySQL, and the whole thing runs on a server running Debian Linux. The iPhone interface uses the iui navigation framework.

The site is supported by Google Ads and Amazon's associate program. We do not accept money for search results placement or editorial content, and do not censor or modify reviews or ratings in exchange for payment.
