I'm pleased to release the first version of UVFood's support for Apple's iPhone. The iPhone interface is a set of web pages specially tailored to the iPhone, designed to load quickly over the slow data connections you'll get when using Edge. The interface allows you to quickly find lists of restaurants in a given town, or by a given cuisine. You can easily get to the full UVFood listing if you want, or check the location on the map.
If UVFood detects that you're using an iPhone it will offer you a link to the iPhone interface but still display the page using the traditional interface. There are limitations to the iPhone interface - the worst one at the moment is that you can't jump directly to the listing for a restaurant. So the link from a listing page doesn't take you to that restaurant in the iPhone interface. I'm working on that, but the problem is due to the way that the UI toolkit I'm using ("iui") works and I haven't figured out a good way around it. You can check out the iPhone interface at http://www.uvfood.com/i - it should be usable on most browsers although it may not work 100% if you're not using Safari.
