You may have noticed some changes in the visual presentation of comments.

Comments now have a "permalink", which gives you a URL that you can permanently link to in order to go directly to a particular comment.

Comments and reviews now show a default user icon. Don't worry if you can't figure out how to upload a photo yet. I'm still trying to get the uploading code working well enough to let other people use it. It's coming soon, but right now many users would find it an exercise in frustration. Building something that works well across different web browsers can be very difficult.

Comments and reviews now also have a border around them, to make it more clear where one stops and another begins. You'll also be able to reply to them soon - even to reviews. And you'll be able to post more than one review on a listing, though only your most recent rating will count toward the listing's average rating. You'll be able to leave public or private replies, and your profile will have a new "Replies" tab which will let you easily see any replies you've received.

There was a bug a while back which prevented Internet Explorer users from leaving reviews or comments. The bug was due to the Javascript toolkit I used to build some of UVFood out of. I've replaced that toolkit with a different one (called jQuery) which is working much more smoothly, and I've taken advantage of this change to rewrite chunks of UVFood. Pages should load slightly faster now than they had before, and the code is much cleaner (and more maintainable). I have some neat new features I'm experimenting with which I hope to release soon, and some of the commenting and reviewing functionality is facilitated by this change.
