BBQ and Beer at Harpoon Brewery

Harpoon Brewery's "Championships of New England Barbecue" is happening this weekend in Windsor, Vermont.

This is Harpoon's tenth year in Vermont and they're celebrating with their annual barbecue competition. 40 teams from around the country will be cooking up their best bbq this weekend, and you're invited to enjoy the food and Harpoon's own beer.

The festival is open on Saturday July 24th from noon to 8PM (entrance closes at 6:30PM) and on Sunday July 25th from noon to 5PM (entrance closes at 3:30PM). Judging will take place and winners will be announced both days.

Along with the food and beer, eight bands will be playing (see the schedule on Harpoon's web site).

The cost to get in is $15/person, which includes two beers but does not include food. Children under 12 are free but obviously must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times.

Harpoon Brewery is located at 336 Ruth Carney Drive in Windsor, VT, off Route 5.
