Facebook and UVFood

Facebook support is coming to UVFood.

Facebook users will be able to login to UVFood using their Facebook account. This means you won't need a UVFood password and you won't need to signup for a UVFood account. When you login you'll be sent to Facebook where you will be asked to give permission for UVFood to integrate with your account.

UVFood users can make lists of their favorite restaurants (to do this all you need to do is go to the listing page for the restaurant and click the "Add to favorites" link). You can then easily track changes at your favorite restaurants and see when there are new menus, deals or coupons, and changes that you may like to know about (a new chef, or even a change of location). With Facebook support you'll be able to see these updates in your Facebook news feed. This is optional - you can turn if off if it's not something you want.

If you already have a UVFood account you'll be able to connect it to Facebook and then login via either your existing account or your Facebook account.

If you're not a Facebook user there's nothing to worry about - you'll be able to use all of UVFood without needing a Facebook account.

I was hoping to have Facebook support working available today but it still needs a little polishing. If you're interested in using it please check back here in a week when it should be working reliably.
