New Search Functionality and Job Listings

I've been working for far too long on an update to UVFood's search capabilities. I've finally released the new update tonight.

Now when you search you'll be able to easily apply your search to listings, jobs, photos or articles just by clicking on the tabs in the left column of the search results.

When you're looking at search listings, you'll also be able to view them on a map, as photos, or download the results to your address book. If you're logged in when you download them, UVFood will notify you in the future if any of the contact information changes and you need to download them again to update your address book.

You can also now sort search results by clicking on column headings, so if you'd like to view the top rated restaurants alphabetically you can easily do that.

The ability to sort and select views should work with most Explore items as well as with normal searches.

The search box now supports autocompletion: start typing the name of a restaurant, farm or tag and it will bring up a list of possible matches. Click on a match to fill in the search box and hit return to see links to the matches.

UVFood now also supports job listings for food-related organizations. You can search job listings for specific phrases by doing a search and clicking on the "Jobs" tab of the search results. You can also browse job listings.

Job listings are free to search and respond to, and also free for businesses to post. Soon we'll support direct entry of job listings, but that's not quite ready yet, so for now just email jobs@uvfood.com with any listings you'd like posted and we'll be happy to set them up for you.
