4 Corners Farm at the Hanover Farmer's Market

4 Corners Farm is named for Hartford Four Corners, where it first started operations, roughly 30 years ago. It began selling its products through the Norwich Farmer's Market, though after a while it moved its sales operations to its own farmstand and also moved to Newbury.

Recently 4 Corners Farm has returned to selling at the new Hanover Farmer's Market. They grow and sell a wide variety of vegetables, including tomatoes, berries, greens, radishes, corn, peppers, melons, pumpkins and more. They also offer their own jams and honey.

Besides the Hanover Farmer's Market, you can find 4 Corners Farm's products at the Woodstock Farmer's Market (this is the store, not the Woodstock Market on the Green), Dan & Whits, Wings and the Co-op Foodstores. You can also purchase directly from them at their own farmstand.

I spoke with Pete Gray of 4 Corners Farm and he had these comments about the farmer's market:

"The Farmer's Market is pretty important but our main source of income comes from the farmstand at our farm. This is something extra we're doing, bringing in more people for pick your own and we can sell some surplus here. The farmer's market is good and there's definitely an opportunity for people staring out; there's a large availability of farmer's markets now; you can almost go to one a day either as a customer or a seller. But for us, our main source is, just for simplicity, the farm at the house."
