UV Food
You may not have heard of it before, but UVFood has been online since June 2007. Our mission is to be a resource for local food in the Upper Valley area - not to just provide a skeletal listing of telephone book entries, but to provide real information on restaurants, to build up a history of them (want to know what happened to your favorite restaurant? if we know, it'll be in here and will remain here) and offer a place for you to express your opinion about them and find other people's opinions.
Using UVFood, you can learn about food-related organizations in the Upper Valley, download their contact information to your address book, find their hours, see reviews and photos of them and even find them on the map.
There's a lot to come still. The site's software is under active development, and we're doing a lot of work updating and adding to our database. While we've been mostly restaurant-oriented to this point, we're now working on adding farms and other food-related resources to the database. Please bear with us while we improve the quality of our current listings and add more... we expect to double or triple the size of our database in the coming months.
The first part of our mission is the listings; the second is the platform that allows you to participate. You can already rate and review restaurants; soon you will be able to add your own tags to them and upload your own photos. If you create a free UVFood account we'll notify you by email when new features are ready. And we will never sell or share your email address or personal information with third parties without your permission.
