Wine Brunch at Tip Top Cafe

White River Junction's Tip Top Cafe is holding a special wine brunch this Tuesday, June 30th. The brunch features a four course prix fixe meal with special wine pairings, for $25.

The menu is:

  • Local cheese display with fresh fruit, and proscuitto, grilled sourdough crostini and crackers
  • Rosemary and roasted garlic pulled pork sandwiches with sweet apricot ,shaved red onion, Cabot sharp cheddar, and whole grain mustard
  • Chesapeake style crab tart with baby spinach, lemon royale, roasted red pepper, and
  • Sweet strawberries and cream tart, oatmeal and brown sugar strusel
paired with:
  • 'Cuvee Princesse' Blanquette de Limoux '04
  • Chateau Camplazens Viognier '07
  • Chateau Camplazens Grenache '06
and Tip Top Cafe welcomes special guests from France, Susan and Peter Plose of Chateau Caplazens of Languedoc.

The brunch will be held on the patio, rain or shine, and space is limited, so reservations are essential.

I haven't been posting many articles on special events at local restaurants. They're in the calendar, but I often haven't managed to find the time. I'm a big fan of special events at restaurants. They can give the restaurant a nice boost, they can give the chef a chance to stretch and experiment, and most of all they're fun.
