Description
BoLoco started life a few years ago as "The Wrap"... a small chain that started in Boston, it serves a variety of smoothies and wraps.

For wraps, you pick your protein (chicken, beef, carnitas [roasted pork] or tofu, or use grilled vegetables), the size, and then choose one of their pre-designed burritos (generally with rice, sauce and veggies) or build your own. Their beef and pork are naturally raised, without antibiotics. They even use compostable cups made from corn for iced tea and soft drinks.

Smoothies are made with non-fat yogurt, fruit or peanut butter or nutella, and enhancers like Vitamn C, whey protein or the "Energy Pack".

Located on Main St. in Hanover, BoLoco does a brisk business from Dartmouth and other folks in the area who are looking for a quick, healthy portable meal.

Four stars for a burrito place? I guess so considering it is the only game in town, and they have the best shake on the planet- The Jimmy Carter. Peanutbutter, Banana, and no-fat yogurt have never tasted soo good. I also enjoy the fact that thay have tofu as menu item for all their wraps. The burritos themselves are rather intersting because the incorporate Mexican, Japanese, Thai, and Mediterranean flavors. Quality has remained pretty steady since it was the wrap and changed their name to Boloco. It is a really yummy burrito.

It looks like Boloco is expanding too because at Logan Airport I recently spotted "Curritto" which is a renamed Boloco that they must want to franchise out beyond the Mass/NH locations that are already exist out there.

Boloco is similar to other chain burrito places. It's good for a quick bite or to order to go. The carnitas burrito is really good here. No service offered tableside as this is a more informal establishment.

I really like the wraps here! They're the right size and the right food for what I usually want for lunch or even dinner. I feel odd giving them four stars... they're obviously not fine dining, there's no table service, you just get in line, order, pay, wonder if the wrap that guy is working on is yours, and then eventually pick up your food and eat. But I really like their food so four stars it is.
