When we arrived for breakfast, the booths by the windows were full, but there were a couple of available tables in the dining room. We decided to wait for a booth by the windows to open. No regrets.

I ordered the blueberry pancakes, my friend had the Vermont rarebit (which came with a side of home fries). The pancakes were good – exactly what you want; moist, loaded with blueberries, fluffy and big. It was a full plate. My friend commented that he thought the Vermont rarebit was fine, the potatoes were excellent, but would order something different next time.

The service was average – maybe a little condescending. The wait staff had that “I’m actually a college student, so in a few years I’ll be making more than you” thing about them. I was guilty of that attitude when I waited tables in college, so I didn’t hold that against our server.

The restaurant is warm and homey and the food was good. Notwithstanding the lukewarm service, I’ll be back.
