I curse the fact that this is the only drive-through coffee option on my commute. I try to avoid buying coffee but sometimes I have to. I hate having to go here but the other options are gas station coffee which is hit or miss, so I find myself returning even after I promise never again.
I can't possibly describe all the ridiculously bad cups of coffee, hot and iced, I've gotten from the Enfield DD. There have been a few decent ones but they are rare. Usually it's so scorchingly hot that it's only drinkable after I arrive in Hanover, or so off-tasting that even a diehard coffee lover like myself can barely choke it down.
I wish I could recount some of the more baffling conversations I've had with the staff as I tried to place my uncomplicated order. Suffice it to say they aren't hiring coffee lovers.
But until my husband opens an espresso cafe on Rte. 4, thus saving us all from the misery that is the Enfield DD, I guess we'll just have to grin and bear it...

Do you know if Mickey's any good for coffee? I think they have a drive thru, but I haven't had the chance to try it.

Route 4 in Enfield isn't a regular driving route for me but if there were a decent cafe there I'd go out of my way to go to it!

Oh yeah, I was excited when Mickey's built their drive-thru, and even more so when they put up their .49 coffee banner, but I tried a few times and no one was staffing the window! I seriously sat in my car for several minutes, watching employees do everything but look over to acknowledge my presence. Twice I gave up and left. Another time I finally did get someone to sell me a cup of coffee. Honestly I can't remember how it was, but the frustrated feeling stuck with me. Someday I will try it again--drive-thrus are especially helpful when one has a couple of little kids buckled into car seats--but in the morning I just don't have time to not get served. Maybe they're better now...

Wow, I don't blame you. One time and I'd probably give up on them myself.
