Description

Gusanoz Taqueria now offers delivery after 5PM within two miles of downtown Hanover.

Gusanoz Taqueria has recently opened in the old Subway space next to Ben & Jerry's in Hanover.

The Taqueria is like a small Gusanoz. They have several tables, but not a huge amount of space, and are designed for quick meals and takeout. They offer tacos, burritos, tortas, tamales, chile relleno, soups and salads. While they have no bar, they are working on getting their license to sell beer.

A note of interest for Coca Cola enthusiasts - Gusanoz imports a small number of bottles of Coca Cola made with sugar rather than corn syrup (the way most Coke is made in the US, except around Passover). The difference in taste is small but noticable. If you prefer your Coke made with sugar, you can get it at Gusanoz.

Went there yesterday (3/4) and it was not at all what I expected. I've been to the Lebanon location before and have been generally satisfied. I was glad to get a few tacos in Hanover. We ordered carne asada tacos, carnitas taco, and a fish taco. It was slow to make the food (likely because of the inefficient layout of the kitchen) and everything -- everything -- is microwaved. The carne asada was okay, but there was nothing on the taco and they never asked us if we wanted anything on top of the taco. The carnitas were okay with the basic toppings, but the microwaved part of the food really showed with the flavor severely lacking. The fish taco was the worst I've ever had. Now, I've had authentic fish tacos on the West Coast and I wasn't expecting anything close to that, but this was amazingly awful. The fish was cardboard-thin, hard as a rock and all crust with no flavor. I could barely find any meat in there. The sauce was okay, but it couldn't save the awful fish. Mrs. Paul's fish sticks would have been better. We also got a chile relleno (also microwaved) which was soggy, limp, and relatively flavorless. Definitely never going here again.

i found both gusanoz to be very poor food quality.... and i also found a hair in my food.... ive visited lots of times because i like to support privatley owned local buisnesses.... but with so many bad experiences ill just go to margaritas next time i want greasy tex mex.

I and a couple friends went to Gusanoz's Taqueria in Hanover around 9ish at night. One of my friends ordered the Chile Verde Burrito, I had the House Burrito, and the other friend ordered Taco's. We also had the Guacamole Appetizer. They quite a nice selection to choise from, things that are hot are label so, and I'm glad as I don't really like spicy food. The service was fast, friendly. The place was really clean. Best of all the food was excellent, everything was hot and delicious. I would go there again in heart beat. four gold stars
