All I can say is that we love this place. Food is fantastic and service is always great. caseybell, you might want to try it again - we are regulars and have eaten everything from the burger to the tasting menu. We have never been dissapointed

We were expecting a lot from this place. We love food and had it been good would go quite often. The service was really poor. And for the price the food was okay at best. The dessert wasn't worth the calories. Really too bad. It seemed like their in house guests got paid more attention to.

I went to The Weathersfield Inn for our company's Christmas Party. The staff are very friendly, the place is really clean. The hors d' oeuvres were very good. The starter I had was the butternut squash soup. The meal was excellent. I had tenderloin steak and it was cooked to perfection. I didn't pay for it so I can't comment on the price, but I am willing to bet it's a little pricey. It's a little off the beaten path, but worth the trip. I plan on going back again and will be able to see a menu and price list then.

Okay, my wife and I have traveled back to the Inn at Weathersfield. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by a friendly staff member. The dining room is spotless and welcoming. We ate in the dining room. We were seated almost immediately. Given menu's and given time to select our dinner. I like this, as I am not being rushed. The waiter who attended to us was really informative of the menu and where the menu items came from. The really refreshing part is most of their menu is local grown. We started with the "Gail's" Green House Greens, I don't like radishes, but these were really thin sliced so they weren't overwhelming. The dressing light. Served with this was warm bread. We both had a lemonatine cocktail, taste like lemonade with a refreshing buzz. The chef (whom has won a number of awards) sent us each a tasting spoon with pastami rolled around micro greens and blue cheese with a light vinagrette dressing. It was so good.
For dinner I had Black Watch Farms Beef two ways, It is New York Strip and Braised Short Rib, it came with sour cream mashed potato. Like a piece of heaven served on a plate. My wife had the Happy Hogs Farms Roast Sucking Pig, served with Potato confit-local Andouille Sausage, Chayote Squash Relish. The Pork was excellent, and so was the potato confit (This is a half potato with smoked Andouille Sausage on top).
Go to this Inn, it's worth every mile getting there, every dollar you spend is delicious.
