Under new management this place is a treat. Excellent sandwiches, salads and to go items. They also have a small but complete grocery selection.

The new owners of the Meriden Deli have made a tremendous effort to turn the place into a real country store, and they're succeeding.

Meriden Deli now has a nice selection of quality grocery items and locally produced goods, was well as bread baked in house, house made sausage, good quality meats, and deli entrees.

Their new panini sandwiches are delicious. When available, try the "local yokel" special sandwich -- with oven roasted turkey breast made in-house, Garfield's bacon, Taylor Farm Cheese, and fresh Meriden Deli bread. Made-to-order salads are also on the menu now.

If you don't feel like taking your lunch (or soft-serve ice cream, which is available at the deli counter) to go, you needn't eat in the parking lot. Walk around back to a picnic table and eat beside the pleasantly babbling brook.
