Description
Who would expect good food from a Chinese restaurant in a gas station?
And yet that's exactly what you'll find at Oriental Wok Express. With
the passing of Tai Shan, the area was left with passable but not
particularly interesting Chinese cuisine.
Fortunately, Oriental Wok Express can pick up the reins. Of course
they offer the standard Chinese dishes you may expect as well as many
not as common Chinese dishes, and decent sushi. They're also the only
place in the area to find char shiu bao - steamed pork buns.
They do have a few seats at their location, but you're unlikely to
want to take the family or a group of more than 4 people out there, so
most likely you'll want to get takeout while you fill up your car.

Sun Jan 6, 2008 by kaszetaI'll have to agree, this in one of the better Chinese food places around here (although with the general state of Chinese food here, that could be considered "damning with faint praise"). Same problems as many other local places: sauces that are too sweet or too salty, but they take a lot more care in served nicely crisped food and not oversaucing. |
