Thought this pizza was overrated, though we did have it to-go, and the cardboard box often affects flavor and crust. I don't think I've had a decent pizza since we moved up to the Upper Valley five years ago. There just is not an ethnic Italian presence up here (notice the absence of Italian delis, for instance, and one cannot buy a great homemade plain cheese ravioli to cook at home.

I can't agree with the previous reviews about the consistency, I've always gotten great pizza there. Yeah, cold pizza loses its shine, I've never not had them toss it in the oven. Ramunto's should be mostly considered for take-out. Their two-large-pies-for-$18 recurring specials are quite fair, but the service staff can be downright rude sometimes, my wife always walks out angry. We asked for some tap water to dilute our kids' juice (they don't drink it full-test) and they claimed they had no cold water in the kitchen so we'd have to buy a bottled water (we'd already bought $29 worth of food). I don't appreciate being lied to, and reluctantly went to the rest room to get some water. There's no other good pizza around, so we still do take-out. The hardest part is driving home and not opening the boxes.

Ramunto's pizza crust is delicious, and their ingredients are good, but something lacks in the presentation. I agree with those who see the individual slices as appearing "old". They look like yesterday's leftovers. Ditto on the consistency issue as well: when it's good, it's very very good, and when it is bad it is horrible! Expensive, too. The staff often seem more interested in their own conversations than in the customer who's waiting to order a pie. What ever happened to the concept of "the customer always comes first"?

When the pizzas are made right I could give it a 4 but often times the consistency is just not here. As Landman mentioned too often the crust/toppings are just all over the place. Sometimes the pizzas come out a mess of grease and not tasting quite right. I always order plain cheese pizzas and you'd think it was pretty easy to maintain a certain level of consistency. While I don't order the meat pies, it is really frightening to see the levels of grease and oil that come off some of these specialty chock full of meat pizzas. It looks like an instant heart attack waiting to happen! The calzones while pretty straightforward don't suffer the same fate as the pizzas. The ones I have had are always good. I think that Lebanon location's main draw is Fred at the bar. He is a great bartender and always has good suggestions and information about the wide range of brews that they pretty frequently change. Great place to try many of the local breweries we are blessed to have in New England. Purely based on taste I always prefer to get a brick oven pizza from 3tomatoes or Lui Lui, but sometimes you get a craving for a more traditional thin-style take out greasy pizza and Ramunto's fits this bill nicely.

The Lebanon location is hidden, but great - perfect place for a great pizza and a beer. They always have a couple of tap beers on special prices. Great beer selection. After they put the pre-made pizzas in the oven to heat up,you'd never know they weren't freshly made. Best place for pizza, hands down.

I agree with charlie. We went here last night and the pizza's that were out so you could order by the slice looked old. We uaually order slices at the Hanover location and they are always fresh. Since we didn't dare order the slices, we ordered two pizza's and four drinks. That came to almost $50.00 We'll stick to the Hanover location.

I went there the other day and there were two other people eating there but every table was dirty, the pizzas seemed old and over priced. I don't see myself going again anytime soon.

I agree, they do have the best pizza in the Upper Valley, however the pizzas they make for take out can be variable in their quality (ie: over cooking, toppings and chewiness of crust). The pizzas for take out are slightly thicker so they can fit in the box, and therefore loose a little of that true "NY thin style pizza". Their specialty pizzas are expensive, but very good! I'd love to see them get bigger boxes so we can get the same pizza for take out that they provide in the restaurant. Their new location on Mechanic Street would prove difficult to find for people not familar with the area, and the parking leaves a lot to be desired, but once you are inside, it is all very much worth it!

yes The best pizza in the Upper Valley! Friendly staff, nice environment, although at peak times it is very loud and hard to find seating.
