I have always loved Rosey's for lunch, but a friend's recent awful experience left me very upset. She was having lunch with her 2 year old daughter, and a friend with her 2 young children when a very rude employee began verbal abusing and insulting her. The things she told me he said to her made me cringe. Noone should ever be treated that way, particularly not in a public space in front of young children. Shame on him. I certainly expected more in a town like Hanover that promotes itself as diverse and respectful. I will never eat there again.no-- >frown--

I always feel that Rosey's is a little pretentious and could be so much better if it tried. The coffee and tea are all very good, but the lunch items, namely the sammiches, are all overpriced and sorta lackluster. Rosey's is a place where you walk out paying 13 dollars for a lunch which consists of a drink and smallish pre-made sandwich which they just heat on a panini grill. Your big side is 3 olives. They only take cash which can be a hassle. Overall it just leaves you feeling like your money could have been better spent elsewhere. It certainly has its fans as students and professors make it a favorite haunt and religiously frequent it, but I guess I just don't get it. For me the sandwiches are the newly opened Umplebys are better and more substantial.

I don't eat here often, but I really enjoy their sammiches. They don't have a wide variety of food, but what they do have is good.
