For the most part this is a good place to eat. We ordered from the "Special" menu which is used on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. $35.00 for a two. It starts with a carafe of wine (your choice), choice of salad and a very nice salad. The the entree, and there's a nice selection. I choose the Prime Rib, it was a little on the fatty side, thin and over cooked to my taste, it came with sweet potato fries and a vegetable. My wife had the fish and chips and loved it. Dessert is shared, we choose the carrot cake. Yum. My son and daughter-in-law both had the Prime Rib, but for dessert they had pecan pie.

I would go back again in a second, but won't order the Prime Rib. One thing I didn't like was too many menu's. They have the "Daily Specials", the regular menu, and the "specials" mentioned above. yes

The food is good, not excellent in most cases. Lunch prices are better than dinner, of course! Don't plan on eating there if you have somewhere to get to in a timely fashion. Each time we have been there, the waitstaff is very good--but the food takes so long getting there, that you should really plan on ordering an appetizer if you are remotely hungry. I once timed a generous hour from the time we ordered our entree, until it arrived at the table.

Specials menu is great addition to regular menu. Great bar. A must visit place.

Pros:
- Good food options (although I wish there was one or two more vegetarian dishes on the menu).
- Nice, deep booths and comfortable chairs at tables in the center of the room.
- Pleasant wait staff.
- Love the hardwood floors.
- Lighting sets the mood.

Misc. Info:
- Pianist/vocalist on Thursday and Friday nights.

Doesn't feel like you are in Claremont, NH when you are in this restaurant... it has a "big city" like atmosphere when you are in it. The food is good and we have had friendly wait staff not only to us, but the kids as well. A good place to eat if you are in Claremont.
