UVFood is a web site for finding and reviewing food-related organizations, including restaurants, located in or near the Connecticut River Upper Valley area of New Hampshire and Vermont.

You do not need an account to view the content here. However, you will need to be a registered member of UVFood to participate (review, post, keep a favorites list).

Information Collection and Use Practices

UVFood collects some limited personal information when you register. You need to maintain a valid and confirmed email address when participating in this site. You may optionally provide a zip code to indicate your approximate location.

UVFood automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information, and the page you request.

UVFood uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, and conduct research.

Advertisements shown to you may be related to textual information associated with the web page you are viewing.

Information Sharing and Disclosure Practices

UVFood does not sell/share/etc email addresses, or other information collected here to third parties.

UVFood provides mechanisms for controlled sharing of your email address, favorites list, and activity on UVFood, with other uses of UVFood. To control this sharing, go to the "Privacy" tab of your user profile. UVFood makes a best effort to comply with your stated privacy preferences but cannot be responsible if due to error or malicious intrusion information you wished to keep private is accidentally disclosed.

UVFood is indexed by search engines and all reviews and ratings are publically accessible. You are responsible for what you post and what personal information you disclose to others.

Practices Regarding Your Ability to Update or Delete Information

You may delete any content that was created/import/added/uploaded/etc by you. Most content (reviews, favorites, etc) has a delete link or similar.

UVFood will contact you via email for:

  • Email address verification
  • Response to a question either posted to the support forums, submitted trouble ticket or other means.
  • Inquiry about a problem which was recorded by the system during your navigation of the site.

UVFood may automatically send email based on your communication preferences for things like petition submission, new message postings, UVFood mail forwarding, new event and event reminders, etc.
